Evidence-based literacy intervention requires a unique lens and a personal connection.

I founded Establishing Reading Roots after spending almost a decade in New Jersey public schools, where I saw how many students needed more intensive, individualized instruction than a school schedule allows. With a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.), I specialize in the precise, diagnostic instruction required for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.

Expertise Rooted in the Classroom

That experience spans general education, inclusion, resource rooms, and self-contained settings. Beyond the classroom, I served as an Interventionist, coordinating Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) plans and tracking student progress data.

This comprehensive background allows me to identify the specific obstacles to a student's progress and bridge those gaps. I hold the Orton-Gillingham Teacher certificate from the Fairleigh Dickinson University Orton-Gillingham Dyslexia Specialist Training Course, accredited by the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC), and I am a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner through Wilson Language Training.

My goal is to meet every child where they are, helping them build the skills and confidence to succeed both in our sessions and in their primary classrooms.
